omg im in 2021

So Chloe and me have been sitting watching LOOOOADS of Scrubs, hence the Dr Cox like extended vowels.

Well J.D. just hit his 30th birthday and had a list of things he wanted to have accomplished by the time he hit that age. So here's ours.

  1. Have a kid! You know you're going to be awesome at having Kids
  2. You just decided to put the wedding back a year, this ones just in case you keep putting it back, just get that 2nd ring on her. Remember PRE-NUPS ARE FOR PUSSIES.
  3. I want you to be working in the media industry somewhere. I just finished stressing `over that fucking 2nd year graded unit, and I'm pretty sure that's where some of your greys came from, so make it worth it.
  4. Lose some weight! If you're going to have kids, you wanna see them get old....plus I'm pretty sure Chloe would kill you if you died younger than 50...well bring me back to life then kill us again.
  5. Learn an instrument properly, you deserve it.
  6. Oh yeah finish writing a movie.
  7. And now, aim to have a chat show for 40! Craig Ferguson would like it.
  8. Shit I almost forgot, go see a live SModco show, they are HILARIOUS!!
Now, I believe that's enough. Hopefully you'll have done a few of them, and if you and Chloe have had "differences" I hope mentioning her in this doesn't bug you.

And if anyone else is reading this, have you got anything you want accomplished by the next big miles stone in your life? Let me know in the Comments or tweet me!

Politics are ****

Well, she's only gone and fucking done it hasn't she?

Tezza May has gone and taken her big, blue Tory boot and put her foot right in it.

"Nah mate, I'm not going to call a snap election in the middle of Brexit negotiations and while that orange twat in the states is whipping his tiny nuclear nob out basically saying 'come ahead lads, 'mercia gawn shoot you down'. Nah that'd be ridiculous!" - Not quite an accurate quote but pretty much

Now she's gone from saying we need a sense of stability in the nation - which, by the way, no fucking shit - to basically saying "Right lads, let's see what happens when it all blue".

Currently, the Conservative government hold a majority of seats in Westminster with a grand total of 330 MPs. Coming up in second with the Silver medal are the opposition, Labour, with 229 seats. Since I'm Scottish I'll also mention that SNP got the bronze with pretty much a clean sweep of the true north...oh and the Lib Dems currently have 9.

Information from www.parliament.uk

"But what does it all mean?" I hear you say? (Which you definitely did because you just read it and at least said it in your head). Well, it means that should the Conservative currently wish do pass any movement in the House of Commons they need to convince maybe one or two other people to agree with them so they have a clear majority to move ahead with their plans. Or at least that's how it works as far as I can understand.

Now it seems that Theresa is fed up with having to convince and argue her points in the House of Commons and just wants the power to steamroll her Right-wing agenda across the now former EU nation of Great Britain. And you know what? She is probably going to do it.

When you think about, and I mean really think - like that kind of thinking that slowly brings on a deep, all encompassing depressive state - everything is pretty much set up for her to come in for a clean sweep.

The Labour party is currently in ruins. It's being led by a man who has lost the faith of the most staunch Labour supporters. Men and women whose towns and villages were ruined by the austerity of the Thatcher government, who have been born and raised in the arms of the NHS and benefits system which was out in place by a Labour government, who they have most likely voted for on every General, local and Scottish election since they were 18. Now they are going over to parties like UKIP because they think that the reason their grandkids don't have jobs or can't get a council house is because of the European immigrants who have come over to work here.

IT'S NOT THE IMMIGRANTS FAULTS THAT YOUR GRANDKIDS ARE LAZY!!

Without a strong Labour party to fight May's Tory government we seem set to undergo a further 5 years - minimum - of Conservative rule.

Also, this will give her the excuse she has needed to make any Brexit plans she has concrete. Up until now she wasn't democratically elected Leader of the UK, I know we vote for a Party and not for a person like they do in the USA, but she was put in place by her own party. Now if/when she wins this election she will have cause to say "You voted for me and my party now you can't say I'm not doing the will of the people because the people put me here! #ToryParty #WeAreTheBrexitBoys"

I don't have answers for you, I only have my own fears and worries and most of all my opinions.

No matter what happens we need to protect out NHS, protect the most vunerable in our society, protect the freedoms of the media, to tell the truth, and not be made to look like liars because our leaders do not agree with them.

But most of all USE YOUR VOTE! Because if you don't and the wrong people are put in power, it won't be the fault of those who voted for them, it'll be your fault for not voting against it. I don't care if you use it to vote for Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, Green or even UKIP. Just please remember to use it.

If you don't know if you are registered to vote you can sign up using the link below.

Also, if you agree, disagree or if I got anything wrong you can let me know either by commenting here or tweeting me @WTKieran

Till next time guys :)

It Gets Better

Hey everyone.

So its been a long time since I sat down and wrote something. Maybe its because I'm lazy or that I've had nothing worth writing.

Whatever the reason the fact is for a while there I seemed to have developed depression and anxiety which considering the type of person I am was rather surprising. I've always thought of myself as an optimist and for that matter an extreme extravert; I love people! But all of a sudden I found myself afraid to leave my room or deal with people at all and I thought I would never be able to make anything of my life because I was going to fail uni and have wasted 4 years of my life. Luckily I spoke to someone, well Chloe spoke to someone for me. For those of you who don't know Chloe is my wife. She made sure I was able to complete my dissertation and still get my degree.

After that I ended up with a job! I know right? After all the struggle I found a job whilst I was living in Sunderland with the BBC based in Glasgow. Of course I still wasn't myself at the time and I didn't have the highest of hopes actually getting it but then next thing you know I was on a train to Glasgow the day after my graduation ceremony for my first interview. Turned out to be an odd aptitude test I wasn't expecting but somehow I managed to make a second interview and then either just before or just after Christmas 2015 I received and email saying I had the job! Now its not the most glamorous or high profile position but considering I had just completed uni the fact I got into a job in the field that I had spent so long studying to be a part of and dreaming of calling my career.

So off we went, Chloe and I said good bye to our friends in Sunderland and moved to Glasgow. I don't know why but I've never considered or wanted to live in Glasgow, nothing against it or anything I just never thought I'd live on the west coast of Scotland.

Now the job isn't like a full time thing, its basically a zero hour contract so the shifts weren't exactly coming in thick and fast so I took a little  initiative for once in my life. I spoke with someone at the BBC about maybe doing some work experience in the radio department, mainly because the job I have isn't really radio based and radio is where I've always wanted to be and secondly because I was a bit bored doing nothing haha. I got put on the Kaye Adams Programme and two weeks later I was getting paid shifts with them! Apparently I'm very good at what they need me to do and I was worth adding to the team! Again this is only freelance so I'm never guaranteed shifts but thats not the point, the point is I am getting paid to work in a job that is everything I've always wanted to do.

This is what I am trying to say. Things get better. So stick in there guys, keep trying and remember when things are hard find someone to talk to, their help could make all the difference in your life.
